e.l.f. Studio Daily Moisture Stick {Review}

Pros:

Moisturizes dry areas, travel sized for your convenience

Cons:

Pricier than most e.l.f. Studio products, weird and waxy consistency, feels like deodorant on your face

If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, you know that I have very dry skin. Due to my skin’s condition, I was uber excited to try the e.l.f. Studio Daily Moisture Stick. I had high hopes that this could help with my problem areas (between my brows, the sides of my mouth).

Unfortunately, the consistency is not what I expected.

You apply the Daily Moisture Stick to areas that need an added moisture boost during the day.

I’m surprised that this product is well reviewed. It just feels weird to me. Seriously, like how I imagine putting deodorant on my face would feel.

Packaging

The metal, twist-up tube is really well crafted. And it should be since this product is double the usual price of e.l.f. Studio products. As e.l.f. says, it’s conveniently travel-sized for taking along in a purse.

Packaging of the e.l.f. Studio Daily Moisture Stick

I have not had any problems getting the product to twist-up, like I’ve had with the e.l.f. Essential All Over Color Sticks.

Formulation

The product is a translucent waxy substance.

e.l.f. calls it a gel. I call it a wax. I’m not getting any gel vibes.

It feels like you’re smearing the e.l.f. Studio Lip Balm SPF 15 in Clear–minus the mint flavoring–on your face. It’s kind of cold and clammy. Honestly, I don’t understand why this product is so well reviewed.

It does work, though. If you can overlook the slimy texture, you can use the Daily Moisture Stick on your face throughout the day.

Conclusion

At $6 a pop, I don’t recommend trying the e.l.f. Studio Daily Moisturizing Stick, unless there’s a 50% off sale.

I just don’t like the formulation, and from the reviews I’ve read, the product might have a short shelf life as it seems that some customers have received rancid items. I’ve had mine for over half a year with no problems, though.
