New e.l.f. Products: Studio Sponges, Lipsticks & Primers, and the Beautifully Bare Collection
I routinely check the e.l.f. site to see if any new products are released. While it’s been relatively quiet these past couple of months, there have been a few additions. Besides the new Beautifully Bare collection that is now officially on the site, e.l.f. recently released the Studio Blending Sponge. And today I was surprised to see a new face primer, the Studio Blemish Control Primer, and the Studio Gotta Glow Lip Tint.
I found the Gotta Glow Lip Tint interesting because the packaging is a complete departure from the typical matte black tubes of the Studio line. It appears that this is one of those color changing lipsticks, like what we had in the 80s and early 90s. I’ve seen a resurgence of color changing glosses recently, from brands like NYX and L.A. Colors, but not so much the lipsticks. The bright hot pink is intriguing. I’m wondering how it will look once applied.
Interestingly, the lipstick retails for $6, instead of the usual Studio lip price of $3. Also of note is the name Gotta Glow, that is also the name of an Essential Smudge Pot and Studio Blush/Highlighter.
As far as the Beautifully Bare collection is concerned, I’m eying the Foundation Serum, the blushes and mascaras. I don’t know what to think about the lip tint since it hasn’t been officially released yet and no one in the public has seen it. I also find it odd that it’s priced at $5, more than the blushes and mascaras. I was going to pass on the Blending Brush until I learned that it’s not round, but actually shaped more like an incredibly super dense fan brush. Now I’m intrigued because I don’t own a similar brush.
All new products are vegan and cruelty-free, including the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blending Brush.
