HI, i see u have used EDM lucent face powder. Can u comment on or make a swatch of the lucent face powder u use? I am using sunlight finishing dust which is great for brighten up my skintone. i am now interesed to know if sparkle beige or pearl beige can do the same brightening but with a glowing effect too? or wil it be too shimmery for using all over the face. thx
Hello! Usually, I only use Sparkle Beige and Pearl Beige as eyeshadow since I don’t like shimmer everywhere, but I decided to apply them all over my face after reading your question. Overall there isn’t that much difference between the two and I don’t think either do much to brighten the skin.
I used both products on skin primed only with moisturized, no base. Sparkle Beige is more sparkly/shimmery, as the name suggests, with visible mica flakes. Personally, I find it too sparkly for me. Pearl Beige covers a bit more (probably because it was originally sold as a concealer, not Lucent Face Powder) and produces a sort of dewy look, but I noticed that too much product can easily make the skin appear metallic or, worse, kind of oily. I find the product more tolerable than Sparkle beige, but I wouldn’t wear it on a daily basis.
I prefer Dusty Miller or Viki’s Radiant Creation because both give the skin a subtle glow for a nice flushed look. Natural or Light Pink could work, too. If you want to stick with a product that brightens like the Sunlight Finishing Dust, either Sunlight Color Corrector or Pearl Sunlight might be what you’re looking for. I haven’t tried Pearl Sunlight since I’ve read other reviews that say it’s too shimmery, but I think it’s supposed to be a mix of Pearl Beige and Sunlight Color Corrector. I use the Sunlight Color Corrector all the time and really like the effect it has on my skin.
