Petit Vour 2014 Favorites

Petit Vour 2014 Favorites

Last year marked the first full calendar year of receiving Petit Vour boxes since I began my subscription. For those of you unfamiliar with PV, it is a subscription service that features only vegan products. Each box generally includes one full sized item along with several other deluxe-sized samples for just $15/mo [US customers].

Below are some of my favorites from the products I received last year, arranged by month. The list features only products from the subscription boxes and not any items from limited edition PV boxes or products purchased directly from Petit Vour.

To see more in depth reviews of the PV boxes I’ve posted, click here.

Bella Pelle Chiara Body Polish

Where to Buy: bellepelle.com
Box: January 2014

[Not pictured] I was so sad when I ran out of this scrub! So great for the winter months when you are constantly battling dry skin patches!

ellovi Lip Butter

Where to Buy: ellovi
Box: January 2014

I have tried a slew of lip balms over the years, but this is hands down my favorite lip balm product I’ve ever tried, with the perfect balance between being moisturizing and having a suitably hard wax.

Beurre Shea Butter Body Cream in Vanilla

Where to Buy: lebeurreshop.com
Box: January 2014

I usually avoid products with high amounts of shea butter, due to the thick and unwieldy consistency, but I’m surprised to find I like this product quite a bit. Perfect for the cold winter months.

OFRA Pressed Blush in Charm [Matte]

Where to Buy: Ofra Cosmetics
Box: February 2014

[Top left in photo] This is a very natural looking blush that is suitable for most individuals, especially those with warmer undertones.

Everyday Minerals Tinted Lip Butter in Blooming Mauve [Shimmer/Metallic]

Where to Buy: everydayminerals.com
Box: February 2014

My past experiences with Everyday Minerals lip products have been hit or miss, but the newer lip butters are so much better than previous incarnations. I like to wear this pink when I’m going for an overall look that leans toward the cool end of the color spectrum.

I.C.O.N. India Oil

Where to Buy: I.C.O.N.
Box: March 2014

I absolutely adore this warm and spicy scented hail oil. I cannot emphasize enough how good it smells.

Lily Lolo Pressed Mineral Eye Shadow Quad in Molten Bronze [Shimmer]

Where to Buy: Discontinued
Box: April 2014

I can never say no to an eyeshadow palette, especially one that features such flattering neutrals like this one.

Deep Steep Hand Lotion in Graperfruit-Bergamot

Where to Buy: deepsteep.com
Box: May 2014

I’ve really enjoyed being introduced to this vegan body care company. Thankfully I didn’t receive a lavender lotion, but instead the Grapefruit-Bergamot version.

TAY Rosehip Balancing Cleanser

Where to Buy: petitvour.com
Box: June 2014

I’m always on the lookout for a good gentle, cream cleanser for my dry skin. If you consistently have issues with dry skin, be sure to give this product a try.

FLO+THEO Body Butter in Lemon Orchard

Where to Buy: floandtheo.com
Box: October 2014

I don’t usually like shea butter based products, but I found myself liking this body butter quite a bit. I love the lemon scent and the formula is more manageable than other shea butter products I’ve tried.

Pacifica Devocean Lipstick in XOX

Where to Buy: pacificaperfume.com
Box: October 2014

I was so excited to see this lipstick in my Petit Vour box because I had really, really wanted to try it. While I would have preferred a more muted, peachier shade, the Devocean lipstick has good payoff and is moisturizing.

French Girl Organics Mineral Lip Tint in Cerise

Where to Buy: etsy.com
Box: November 2014

Two things I look for in lip tints is product consistency and color payoff. Cerise has both.

Caru Skin Care Co Rose Facial Serum

Where to Buy: etsy.com
Box: November 2014

A face serum with a pronounced rose scent. I love the smell of (real) roses and this serum smells awesome due to the rose essential oil.

Everyday Minerals Blush in All Smiles

Where to Buy: everydayminerals.com
Box: December 2014

I have a ton of blushes by Everyday Minerals, and though I’ve considered purchasing All Smiles several times, I never did. I was excited to finally try it after all these years. I expected it to be a bit more orange than it turned out, so I like this coral blush more than I anticipated.

Meow Meow Tweet Deodorant Cream in Lavender

Where to Buy: Meow Meow Tweet
Box: December 2014

While I am not a fan of lavender, I will deal with the scent if the product warrants it. Such is the case with this deodorant. So far my experiences with natural deodorant have been overwhelmingly disappointing, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It works well to combat both body odor and scent, with help from baking soda, arrowroot powder, and kaolin clay.

Note: The photo for this post features the Modern Minerals eyeshadow in Cherish that the author mistakenly believed was in a 2014 box, but was actually included in the December 2013 box.
