New Ariel Collection by e.l.f.

Both and Walgreens now offer the Disney Ariel e.l.f. sets online. Read more here.

By now you’ve probably heard about the latest Disney collaboration with Walgreens. As with the Disney Villains collab, Walgreens is once again working with Ardell, SOHO, and e.l.f., as well as Conair

Whereas the Disney Villains collection featured several villains, this time the focus is on just one character: Ariel from the classic Disney movie The Little Mermaid.

In all, the collection features three makeup bags by SOHO, five makeup/brush sets by e.l.f., three eyelashes sets by Ardell, and three hair accessories by Conair (Note: Some hair accessories may contain actual shells).

Thankfully, e.l.f. has finally put up a store locator so you don’t have to go on a mad search attempting to find the collection. It feels like there are less locations carrying the Disney collection this time around. In contrast to previous Disney/Walgreens collaborations, only two of my Walgreens are listed. Last time there were three or four.

Ariel Cosmetics Sets by e.l.f.

There are five e.l.f. sets in the Disney Ariel Collection:

  • $9.99. Treasure Within Beauty Book:
    • 9 Eyeshadows, 2 Bronzers, 1 Lip Gloss, Essential Eyeshadow Brush, and a LE half moon brush.
(Note: Both brushes contain natural fiber bristles of animal origin.)
  • $9.99. Crystal Brushes:
    • 5 Piece Brush & Travel Case
(Note: Unclear if natural or synthetic bristles, although it is more likely to be made of animal fibers.)
  • $4.99. Go on and Kiss the Girl:
    • Lip Stain & Super Glossy Lip Shine Gift Set [Completely Vegan]
(Note: Set contains 1 Essential Lip Stain and 2 Super Glossy Lip Shines.)
  • $4.99. Under the Sea Eyes:
    • Waterproof Eyeliner & Duo Eyeshadow Set [Completely Vegan]
(Note: Set contains 1 Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen and 2 Essential Duo Eyeshadows.)
  • $4.99. Bronzed Beauty:
    • Bronzer & Mini Kabuki Brush Set
(Note: Kabuki most likely contains fibers of natural origin.)

The Crystal Brush set refers to them as Studio brushes and that would normally indicate synthetic bristles. I looked closely at the packaging and brushes and I’m not sure whether they are of natural or synthetic origin. I personally think there’s a higher chance that the bristles are of natural origin.

Cosmetics Bags by SOHO

They’re are three bags available:

  • $6.99. Pencil Case (Note: This has a different design than the other two.)
  • $7.99. Round Top
  • $9.99. Organizer

I’ve really loved the Disney Villains bags I purchased last October and I’m having difficulty resisting the Ariel versions. The art is super really pretty and I’m thinking of picking up at least the Round Top bag.

Final Thoughts

I’m super excited about several items, though I’m disappointed that I’m having difficulty finding much of anything locally.

Since the Disney/Walgreens collaborations are officially a thing now, I’m wondering who the next princess will be and when those products will be released…
